    $18.99

Your call to love those who don’t know Jesus does not mean you need to save them.
Through real-life guidance and encouragement, Peace in the Waiting helps us navigate the grief, confusion, and urgency we feel for loved ones who have rejected or wandered away from God.

  • Holy Ghosted : Spiritual Anxiety, Religious Trauma, And The Language Of Abu

    $22.99

How to recognize the tactics of spiritual abuse-and save your faith

Are you questioning the church of your upbringing but want to maintain your faith? Do you want to cut ties with your denomination, but fear abandonment by God? Are you struggling with spiritual anxiety-fear of hell, obsessive religious ritual, or feelings of never measuring up?

Tiffany Yecke Brooks first explored reconstructing faith in Gaslighted by God. In this much needed follow-up, she equips readers to understand and name tactics of spiritual abuse and manipulation. Each chapter covers a different method of control found in toxic religious communities-including legalism, indoctrination, praise, and fear-and how to identify and respond to it in a healthy way. Brooks also reframes scriptural passages commonly weaponized by those in power.

Weaving together interviews with diverse Christians and her own experience, Brooks offers a voice to those feeling isolated by spiritual anxiety. Empowered by this guide, readers will learn to trust their intuition, seek truth fearlessly, and love God and neighbor without restraint or fear.

The final book in the New Directions series delves into the complexities of a blended Amish family. Are love and faith enough to navigate through relationship tensions, homesickness, and tragedy?

Susan has been in Wyoming long enough to feel at home, but instead she finds herself still struggling to adapt to the dusty landscape, the different customs, and life so far from family. She knows she should be appreciating the big, beautiful log home that Isaac built, but sometimes even that feels like a burden–so much of it to clean, and Isaac always traipsing in with his muddy boots and clothes smelling of diesel. But those were just the surface problems. Titus is growing quickly, coming closer to manhood every day. He’s working with his father finally, always torn between wanting to impress him and being repulsed by the entire logging industry. He struggles with pent-up anger from his mother’s death, Susan swooping in as if she could take her place, and never feeling like he’s enough for his dad. But hardship like he’s never known is just around the corner. Will the difficult turn of events permanently harden his heart? • Drink Called Joy

    $11.99

Using the language and stories of former drug addicts and alcoholics transformed by Jesus Christ, Don Wilkerson makes a contrast between the drinking “high” of drugs and the experience with the Most High God.

Don Writes, “Using Apostle Paul’s admonition to not be drunk with wine wherein is “excess” but be “filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18) I make a similar contrast between joy in the Lord and the false euphoria of the life of the addict on drugs. There is also possible scientific evidence that if the brain waves of someone on cocaine were compared with someone joyful in the Lord the latter would show a “peace that passes all understanding.”

Wilkerson shares 12 chapters based on the real-life experiences of addicts finding supernatural answers to their addiction; these stories are sometimes humorous but nevertheless real. It is hopeful you will finding the reading of this book a joyful experience. “What can I give him?”

Growing up in her native Provence, in southern France, Sylvie Vanhoozer learned about the traditional Provenal creche. These nativity scenes were peopled by santons-“little saints”-each bringing their unique gifts to the baby Jesus. As her own life took her around the world, to England, Scotland, and the United States, she kept up the tradition of her native creche in her own home, adding to it souvenirs from each new place where she found herself.

In The Art of Living in Season, Vanhoozer invites readers to join this communion of little saints and to follow them not only at Christmas but throughout the whole year. Each chapter introduces a new santon and opens up another aspect of our annual pilgrimage toward Christ. Structured as weekly reflections and illustrated with Vanhoozer’s own botanical illustrations, this book invites us to follow Christ in our own places and seasons of life, beginning by keeping in step with the rhythms of nature and the church calendar.

The Art of Living in Season is a companion for everyday saints who wonder how they can follow Jesus-and what they can give him-wherever, whenever, and whoever they are.

  • Message Of Jonah (Revised)

The book of Jonah is likely the best known of the minor prophets. It is often remembered for its oddity: a runaway prophet swallowed by a whale! But there must be more to the book than that.

In Jonah we find charted the course not just of a discontented prophet but of Israel’s attitude toward its most despised neighbor in the Mediterranean world. Jonah refuses God’s call because he knows God will respond in mercy and grace should the Assyrians repent. Jonah will have no part of it-until he is compelled. And even then he pities himself.

The irony of this prophet’s story is amusing, but it also reaches out and touches us where we are today. Rosemary Nixon explores the depths of the book and helps us make connections with our view of God and his world.

Among the books of the Bible, Obadiah, Nahum, and Zephaniah are rarely read or preached. Gordon Bridger moves against this trend, encouraging the study and application of these Old Testament prophets.

And in touch with the social and political issues of their day, the prophets speak to the real world: immoral political and religious leaders, personal and national pride, and the exile of God’s people from their home.

In this introduction and commentary to the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, Derek Kidner’s clear prose and theological insight helps readers understand the complex literary and historical issues surrounding these two books and their chief characters.

“The chequered story of the Kings, a matter of nearly five centuries, had ended disastrously in 587 B.C. with the sack of Jerusalem, the fall of the monarchy and the removal to Babylonia of all that made Judah politically viable. It was a death to make way for a rebirth. So begins Derek Kidner in this introduction and commentary to the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, which chart the Jews’ return from exile to Jerusalem and the beginnings of a new start.

As the drama unfolds, we see how international politics, nationalist pride, wise leadership, political intrigue and opportunism, internal dissension and compromise all shape events. But above all we see the hand of God at work. “The Lord shepherds me, and nothing will be lacking for me. In a place of tender grass, there he causes me to encamp.”

In his reading of Psalm 23, early Christian theologian Didymus the Blind perceived the comfort that is provided only by Christ, the good shepherd: “The disciples of Christ who have become perfect in his instruction . . . do not simply hear a voice, but they are familiar with the teacher himself.”

Born around the year when the Edict of Milan legalized Christianity, Didymus the Blind (ca. 313-398) lost his sight due to an illness at a young age. He nevertheless excelled at learning and became a defender of Nicene orthodoxy against Arianism. Over the course of his career, he wrote numerous theological treatises and exegetical works. Though some of his theological speculations would later earn the ire of the Second Council of Constantinople, Didymus was also a careful exegete of Scripture.

This Ancient Christian Texts volume presents Didymus’s lectures on portions of the Psalms as they were originally presented to his students. Here readers can learn at the feet of this early Christian teacher and find comfort in the Word of God.

Ancient Christian Texts are new English translations of full-length commentaries or sermon series from ancient Christian authors that allow you to study key writings of the early church fathers in a fresh way.

  • Too Small A World

    $18.95

“The world is too small,” Saint Frances Cabrini (1850-1917) once declared. “I would like to embrace it all, to reach every corner.” This compelling, authoritative biography chronicles the astounding life of a petite Italian-born religious sister who, with the heart of a missionary, conquered all odds to become the first American citizen canonized a saint.

Theodore Maynard traces Cabrini’s journey from her humble beginnings in northern Italy to her pioneering mission across the United States serving the poor and the sick on a massive scale. Between her work with immigrants (in New York, Denver, Chicago, Seattle, New Orleans, and beyond), her building of schools, orphanages, and hospitals, and her founding of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Mother Cabrini’s entrepreneurial work would change the course of American history, marking it with Christ’s mercy.

Maynard draws his material directly from the official files for Cabrini’s canonization, from her letters, and from interviews with Missionary Sisters who were close to her. What emerges from this complex portrait is a woman of boundless compassion, courage, and energy, whose legacy continues to inspire people around the world today.

“If anybody could effect the impossible,” writes Theodore Maynard, “it was this Italian nun.”

  • Star For Jesus And Other Jobs I Quit

    $27.00

A funny, thought-provoking memoir-in-essays about learning to understand-again and again-that we can’t earn God’s love no matter how many rules we follow or boxes we check, and learning to accept the grace that is freely given.

Growing up, Kimberly Stuart got really good at strapping on her spiritual tap shoes and trying to be a star for Jesus. She could sing all the songs, ace the sword drills, and know all the right theology. From earning creepy Jesus paperweights in her church’s faux Girl Scout program to trying to calm an actual storm on the Mediterranean, she was doing her best; and still found herself longing for something more. She didn’t mean to completely ignore the most beautiful tenets of her faith-the unwavering grace and tenacious love of God-but she did. Which, of course, was the problem. Her best was lackluster, and God wasn’t looking for a star performer anyway.

Star for Jesus (And Other Jobs I Quit), is an invitation for readers to spot unvarnished, amazing grace when they see it. With her trademark wit and transparency, Stuart brings readers through both big and small moments that teach us to cling to the fierce love of God instead of the flimsier versions we find elsewhere.

With unflinching honesty and relatable humor, Stuart encourages readers to take another look at unrelenting grace; why, contrary to the cultural narrative, we are not actually enough, and that’s good news; how we always, remarkably, have all the grace we need; and why this moment in history is the perfect time to extend no-strings-attached grace to an emotionally bedraggled, wary world.

  • Judaism Is About Love

    $35.00

A profound, startling new understanding of Jewish life, illuminating the forgotten heart of Jewish theology and practice: love.

A dramatic misinterpretation of the Jewish tradition has shaped the history of the West: Christianity is the religion of love, and Judaism the religion of law. In the face of centuries of this widespread misrepresentation, Rabbi Shai Held–one of the most important Jewish thinkers in America today–recovers the heart of the Jewish tradition, offering the radical and moving argument that love belongs as much to Judaism as it does to Christianity. Blending intellectual rigor, a respect for tradition and the practices of a living Judaism, and a commitment to the full equality of all people, Held seeks to reclaim Judaism as it authentically is. He shows that love is foundational and constitutive of true Jewish faith, animating the singular Jewish perspective on injustice and protest, grace, family life, responsibilities to our neighbors and even our enemies, and chosenness.

Ambitious and revelatory, Judaism Is About Love illuminates the true essence of Judaism–an act of restoration from within.

  • Genesis 6 Conspiracy Part 2

    $34.99

As was graphically described in the first Genesis 6 Conspiracy book, there are giants among us, passing largely unnoticed, intent on carrying out a secret plan to enslave all humanity. They may not look like giants today, but their bloodlines and DNA extend all the way back to the Nephilim–the offspring of angels who mated with human women–described in Genesis 6 when Giants were roaming the land.

Now, in this new work, The Genesis 6 Conspiracy Part II, author Gary Wayne goes in-depth with new information and explanations for each premise laid out in the first book. By adding this fact-filled book to your understanding, you will be able to clearly understand and articulate how we are living in the End of Time.

“I was convinced I would not write a sequel to The Genesis 6 Conspiracy,” Wayne said. “So, what swayed my mindset? What I did not perceive was the level of Scriptural angst not appeased by modern clergy, teachers, and leaders in most Christian churches–whether Catholic or Protestant–that, and the thousands of emails I received from those who read the first Genesis 6 Conspiracy book.”

This book was written to help answer the lingering questions many Christians have, and to provide scripturally researched answers and data points for these questions. The Genesis 6 Conspiracy Part II explores Scripture’s accounting of prehistory, history, and its important prophetic connections and explains in laymen’s terms how it all fits together in deciphering the End of Time.

  • Young Men We Need

    $29.99

The world needs young men to grow up into real men. But here’s the problem: young men get so many conflicting messages about what it means to be a man, they find it hard to know what masculinity looks like when men are at their absolute best.

Into this cultural confusion Brant Hansen paints a refreshingly specific, compelling picture of what men are designed to be. Combining depth and humor, he calls for young men of all interests and backgrounds to be ambitious about the right things and to see themselves as protectors and defenders of the vulnerable, with whatever resources they have at their disposal.

The (Young) Men We Need is witty, to the point, bracingly honest, and packed with wisdom. Perfect for any guy age 14 and up who wants to know “Why am I here?”–and is ready to show up. Includes discussion questions.

  • Unveiling The Sixth Station Of The Cross

    $18.95

“Convert us, O God; and shew us thy face, and we shall be saved” (Psalm 80:3).

Although many are familiar with the Holy Face Devotion, key fruits and wonders remain untold, and various of its most important spiritual treasures have yet to be discovered – until now.

In these extraordinary pages, Mary Jane Zuzolo unveils for you how this devotion is prefigured in the book of Job, complements Fatima and other Marian apparitions, encompasses the spirituality of St. Therese, crowns the insights of the great Carmelite mystics, affirms the Mariology of St. Louis de Montfort, and has generated more miracles than the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Words of Christ from approved private revelations describe the Holy Face Devotion as “the most beautiful work under the sun” and “the greatest source of grace second to the sacraments.” Zuzolo further reveals:

*The Miracle of the Vatican, in which the Holy Face image became enlivened, serving as catalyst for the related wonder-working at the hands of Ven. Leo Dupont.

*The woman in the Gospel who was designated by Christ in private revelations as the model of reparation to His wounded Countenance – and whose “reward” prefigured that which He promises for devotees of the Holy Face Devotion.

*How reparation to the Holy Face relates to the Holy Sacrament of the Altar and is complementary to the Sacred Heart and Divine Mercy devotions.

*How St. Joan of Arc was the forebearer of the Holy Face Devotion in her dramatic assistance of the preservation of Catholicism in France.

*How the Holy Face Devotion serves as an antidote to communism and modernism.

The Holy Face Devotion, Zuzolo explains, was bestowed by Christ “as a new pledge of mercy.” Its graces flowing though “Our Lady of the Holy Name of God” and its preference by God to all other devotions together give the affectionate title “Mother of All Devotions” dual significance.

In our time of heightened sin and darkness, the Holy Face Devotion is a means of imploring the Countenance of Christ to “turn toward us” and restore life and light to the world through conversion of the masses. Unlike any other, the Holy Face Devotion is centered on reparation to the Godhead Itself. In recompense, Our Lord promises to imprint His Image, the very “seal of the Divinity,” upon the soul of the devotee. Practicing this devotion is therefore an invaluable aid to our individual salvation, as well as that of our brethren. It is spiritual armament
